Our opening hours are:

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday – Dinner Only 19:00
Saturday – Lunch 12:30 and Dinner 19:00
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday – Closed however available for private hire

All guests dine at the same allocated time.

What type of cuisine do you serve?

At Black and Green, we believe in letting the best ingredients shine. We take inspiration from the seasons and the incredible produce we can find, and then we create tasting menus that are a journey for your taste buds. Think modern British cuisine with a focus on fresh, local, and thoughtfully prepared dishes. We're all about a dining experience that's both delicious and a little bit surprising. We like to think of it as a culinary adventure, right here in Barnt Green.

What is your price range?

The shorter 6 course tasting menu is offered for £75 per person. 
The longer 8 course tasting menu is offered for £85 per person. 

To truly complete the experience, we offer a bespoke wine pairing that's been thoughtfully curated to complement each course on our tasting menu. 
Two options are available: 5 Glass Wine Flight – £50 per person or the 6 Glass Wine Flight – £60 per person, and we think it's a lovely way to enhance your evening with us.

Do you offer takeout or delivery?

At Black and Green, we're all about the full experience, which is best enjoyed within our walls. So, we don't currently offer takeout or delivery. We'd love for you to come and relax with us!

Do you have outdoor seating?

We're so sorry, but we don't have outdoor seating. We focus on creating a special atmosphere inside.

Do you have a dress code?

We want you to feel comfortable and enjoy your evening! We don't have a strict dress code. Come as you are, whether you're dressed up or feeling more casual. We just want you to relax and enjoy the experience.

What is the atmosphere like?

We aim for an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Think soft lighting, a carefully curated playlist, and a space where you can truly savor each moment of your meal. It's a place to unwind, connect, and enjoy the company you're with.

Do you accept reservations? How can I make a reservation?

Yes, we do recommend making a reservation to secure your spot, at Black and Green we do not accomodate spontaneous visit. You can easily book a table online by visiting our website HERE. We look forward to welcoming you!

What is your policy on cancellations?

At Black and Green, we individually prepare for each guest's culinary journey. We understand that plans can change, in case of a cancellation, the following policy applies:

For parties of 1 to 5 guests, the full menu price of £75 or £85 per person will be charged, if the cancellation is within 7 days of the reservation for. 
For parties of 6 to 16 guests, the full menu price of £75 or £85 per person will be charged, if the cancellation is within 14 days of the reservation for

Our automated system ensures the seamless application of these charges. Please note that our team is unable to override this process. We appreciate your understanding.

Can I see your menu?

Our tasting menu changes with the seasons and the freshest ingredients we can find. You can take a peek at a sample menu on our website, but the most exciting part is discovering what we're serving when you arrive!

Do you have vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?

We always strive to create dishes that cater to a variety of tastes and preferences. At the time of your booking you can choose from the main menu (with meat ingredients), pescatarian menu or vegetarian menu. In case you would like the pescatarian or the vegetarian menu, we ask you to please inform us with at least 72 hours notice. 


Please note we are unable to provide vegan alternatives or diary free menus.


Guests with gluten-free dietary needs are welcome. We take great care in preparing our dishes, but we want to be transparent: due to the nature of our kitchen and the way we create our tasting menus, while we make every effort, we unfortunately can't guarantee that the dishes are entirely free from cross-contamination. We'll always do our best to accommodate your needs and make you feel comfortable and we recommend to inform us in advance.

Do you have a kids' menu?

We focus on creating a fine dining experience, and therefore we do not offer a kids menu. Young guests are welcome as long as they participate in dining from our regular menu. However, we are unable to accept small children and babies as it is not a suitable environment. We do not have child friendly facilities and we wish to respect all of our diners’ experience.

Can I customize a dish?

We are incredibly passionate about the dishes we create, and we believe it's best to experience them as they're intended. 

At Black and Green, we're crafting a culinary story with each tasting menu, and we believe in the complete experience as our chefs have envisioned it. While we understand that everyone has their own preferences, due to the nature of our carefully curated courses, we're unable to accommodate specific substitutions or personal dislikes. We hope you'll trust our team to take you on a delicious journey!

Do you use fresh/local ingredients?

Sourcing the best, freshest ingredients is at the heart of what we do. We work closely with local suppliers and farmers to bring you the best of what's in season. It's all about making the flavors shine!

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?

We're happy to accomodate our pescatarian and vegetarian guests! To ensure we can craft a truly delicious experience, we kindly ask that you let us know of your dietary requirements at least 72 hours in advance of your reservation. This allows our chefs to carefully prepare a menu that's both flavorful and perfectly suited to your preferences.

We have a carefully curated wine list featuring selections that perfectly complement our tasting menu. We're happy to guide you through the options, or, if you're feeling adventurous, we highly recommend our wine pairing!

RESERVATION & SEATING

Do you take reservations?

At Black and Green, we focus on creating a truly special and intimate experience for each guest. Because of this, reservations are essential. We find that the best way to enjoy our tasting menu is to plan ahead. So, while we aren't able to accommodate walk-ins, we invite you to book your table in advance through our website. This allows us to ensure we have everything prepared for your arrival.

How do I make a reservation?

To reserve a table at Black and Green please visit our WEBSITE and follow the online booking process via SEVENROOMS, our booking system.

Please choose "Chefs Bench Booking" OR "Restaurant Table Booking" for a standard reservation. 
On the Chef's Bench we can accomodate maximum 2 guests, and only our longer, 8 course tasting menu served. On Restaurant tables we can accomodate 2 to 5 guests and both 6 and 8 course tasting menus are available.
During the booking process you will be asked to add your menu choices for each guest, 6 or 8 course; main, pescatarian or vegetarian tasting menu. In the same section you have the opportunity to add on the wine flight or Andy Sheridan's amazing cookbook with a discount. 

"Voucher Booking" - This booking page is for guests with product-based vouchers from providers like Red Letter Days, Virgin Experience, Buy a Gift, Gift Pro, Direct, and other third-party companies.
During the process you will be asked to chosse which menu do you wish to dine from (6 or 8 course; main, pescatarian or vegetarian menu). In the same section you have the opportunity to add on the wine flight or Andy Sheridan's amazing cookbook with a discount.
Please make sure you provide your voucher details during the booking process as we have a dedicated team who deals with third party vouchers rather than the venue itself. 
If your voucher is a monetary value voucher, please use the "Chefs Bench Booking" OR "Restaurant Table Booking" option instead — this ensures your booking goes smoothly.

Can I request a specific table?

The team at Black and Green is unable to guarantee to fulfill any request for specific seats, unless Chef's Bench booked. Other table allocations are depending on availbaility. 

Do you accept walk-ins?

While we aren't able to accommodate walk-ins, we invite you to book your table in advance through our website. This allows us to ensure we have everything prepared for your arrival.

Do you have a waiting list?

If the date you wish to book is no longer available, please send us an email with your inquiry (name, email address, phone number, date and time of your booking and numbers of guests) and in case of any cancellation our Guest Relations team can get in touch to arrange your booking.

What is your policy on late arrivals?

We will hold your table for 15 minutes past your reservation time. Because we orchestrate our tasting experience so that all guests enjoy each course at the same time, being punctuel is very important. If you're delayed beyond that, we might need to start you with the current course. We'll do our best to catch you up, but we want you to have the full experience!

Can I make a reservation for a large party?

At Black and Green the largest party we can accomodate is 17 guests at the same time.
If you wish to make a reservation for a parti larger than 5 guests, please contact our Guest Relations Team fur further assistance and details. Please note if your party is larger than 5 guests you will be seated on separate tables close to each other. 

Do you have private dining rooms?

At Black and Green we are unable to offer private dining rooms.

Is there a time limit on tables?

At Black and Green, we're all about creating a truly relaxed and memorable evening. We want you to fully immerse yourself in the experience, so there's no rush. With just one seating, you're welcome to savor each moment and enjoy the evening at your own pace.
